"I Wear My Hijab for me, Not for Any Man"

This is a picture response to all of those who claim that Hijab is for our men- so we are not "tempting" and so on.
No sisters, it's not.
If our men feel the benefit of it as well in the way that it helps them to lower their gaze, then Alhamdulilah! We have helped someone with their Deen.

------------------------------------------------------

surat Al-Ahzab, (verse 59), translation:

”O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the woman of the believers to draw their Jalalib all over their bodies. That will be better. That they should be known so not to be annoyed. And Allah is ever oft-forgiving, most merciful.”

----------------------------------------

“Over THEIR bodies”

“That THEY should be known”

“So not to be annoyed”

The Hijab promotes to others the fact that we are followers of the religion Islam.

It promotes to others what our morals are.

It lets others know how we would or would not like to be approached.

It protects us from those who disobey Allah swt and look at us regardless of what He has ordered.

Our Hijab prevents them looking at us in their minds eye - with whatever imaginations they have.(Because they do not know what we look like underneath our layers)

Our Hijab allows people to pay more attention to our words rather than our bodies.

The Hijab allows us to be known but not be sexualised in society.

And people will know us as modest people with boundaries.

If it helps men to- then honestly, that’s great. Less fitnah for the brothers- and we should be glad to help each other out.

But this is a command for us, ladies.

And our Creator knows what is best for His creation.

Don’t for a second think that this is souly for the men’s benefit.

No, this is for US, for OUR good, for OUR bodies.

We deserve to be recognised for our morals.
Think to yourself - why does a woman need to show her body to be accepted.
Think to yourself - Doesn't my mind matter more than looks, doesn't what I think and say matter more than fashion?
Think to yourself - I'm precious, you don't deserve to look at me like a piece of meat.
Think to yourself - I will not be ruled by a male run fashion industry and sexulised by society.
